He has long had an obsession with womens clothing beginning as a twelve year old when he used to sneak into Paris nightclubs and watch the showgirls perform. He later dropped out of school against much resistance from family and friends to pursue his dream.

The company is known for having dozens of styles with heel heights that go beyond 4.72 inches. He says he wanted to make a variety of footwear in which women could feel confident and empowered.
